According to the United States Department of Agriculture’s grading standards, the sugar/acid ratio in Nongfu Spring’s orange varies from 12.7 to 20, 17.5 on average. A yummy orange tastes a little sour in sweetness.
After years of cultivation, Nongfu Spring’s 17.5° orange is the result of a combination of nature and high technology. It takes several procedures to select our oranges after their natural ripening.
Therefore, not every Gannan Orange is a 17.5° orange.
We only select around 2 Platinum oranges out of every 10 high quality oranges and only around 1 diamond orange out of every 10 high quality oranges.
The real selection ratio varies according to the oranges’ quality each year.
