We are pioneers who have built state-of-the-art water production facilities across China at our eight premium quality water sources, in order to satisfy the growing demand by consumers who are choosing to drink healthy water as a preference. Investment in modernisation means we also are confident of having great distribution channels possible, to provide our products to all parts of China through our significant and efficient logistics network.
We are widely recognised in China for our “natural and healthy” products. We are committed to preserving the goodness and sustainability of our natural water sources. We do not add any artificial minerals to our drinking water, nor do we purify it. We aim to retain the natural health benefits with each water source containing many natural mineral elements such as potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium.
We recognise that only high quality products can support the continuous growth of our brands. In order to ensure the best and safest quality products, all our bottling plants are located close to the water source. Nongfu Spring’s quality control systems closely monitor the entire process from raw material procurement and manufacturing, through to warehousing transportation and sales.
We are proud of our track record for responsible and ethical management of water resources to ensure the environmental qualities remain pristine for future generations to come.
Water quality and sustainable water management sits at the very heart of our governance and operations. If the quality or the sustainability of our pristine water resources is compromised, the company has no future, so we undertake an environmental view in all that we do.
As one of China’s leading bottled water suppliers, we work closely with the government to ensure our water sources are protected and managed sustainably.
Some of our actions include:
- Successfully campaigning for environmental protection at Thousand Island Lake. At present, the overall quality of Thousand Island Lake is qualified as Class I of surface water standard and kept basically stable.
- At Wanlv Lake, we worked with government to ensure boats use natural gas.
- To significantly reduce environmental impacts and protect the quality of our source, we used porters and mules to transport construction materials and pipeline when constructing our bottling plants at Mount Emei and Mount Wuling.
- At Changbai Mountain, we have worked hard to protect native forests around the plant. A 10km2 protection zone around the water source was established by the local government at our suggestion.
